In the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?” Dr. Masaru Emoto took pictures of water after applying mental energy or printed words on bottles with different emotiuons on them.

This is the clip from the movie, hopefully it is still in-tact:

One of the people, William A. Tiller, who was also in the movie, has a critique of the process that Dr. Emoto did:

“In Dr. Emoto’s experiments, item […] was neither controlled nor measured, a necessary requirement to be fulfilled if one wanted to prove that it was the new factor of specific human intention that was causative. After stating the above, I feel quite confident in also stating that Dr. Emoto probably unintentionally “conditioneed” his experimental space to a higher electromagnetic (EM) gauge symmetry state than a normal space through his general intentions so that the “conditioned” experimental space became especially sensitive to specific intentions.”

One major issue you can find is that Dr. Emoto started to sell water with the various emotions imbued in them, H2Om Water with Intention. It makes you wonder what his real motive was if his “science” is vague and highly variable, but still making a profit.
